His house was literally right next to a river during hurricane Irene, and the first level of his house got completely flooded. He bitched me out for 20 minutes trying to blame it on the nearby bridge structure, and reservoir. For risk of being fired, I held my tongue and tried to deescalate the situation knowing that other houses were devastated.
