Isn't it still pretty popular as well? How is that even possible? Sometimes an old Simpsons clip will pop up in your feed and I've always forgotten just how good it was. Was watching that one where Burns wins the car and they start throwing pretzels at Whitey Ford and pissing myself a couple of days ago.

Don't ask me why or how, but it's as big as it ever was. Must be big with people who grew up with the post-1999 shit and just accept this mediocre institution.

I still watch it occasionally. its not as funny as it used to be but it still has its moments.

It’s easy to forget how great it was in the 90s. Every single episode from season 1-8/9 was gold.

The odd time I’ve seen one of the newer ones from the last 15 years, they’re just so depressingly awful. It’s crazy that it’s now been a mediocre show for twice as long as it was a great one yet they keep persisting with it.

The first season was a bit clunky and Bart-centric but seasons 2-8/9 are some of the best television ever made in any genre.

I’ve always attributed the best Simpsons seasons to how much of a genius Conan O’Brien was in the early/mid 90s.
