He was in the 82nd. But he cleaned up after other airborne members and took out the garbage. Never jumped out of a plane or held a rifle.

He never made it past a few weeks into basic training. The only photo he has while "serving" is the photo you take when you first get to basic. He won't show you his DD214 because his beginning and ending enlistment dates are only a month or two apart
