I hear that the whole reason the attack even happened in the first place was in response to Anthony's bombing at the Oakerson roast.
Somehow they were able to get into the future, see the bombing, and came back in time to respond. I obviously have no proof, but it's just what I heard from some inside sources.

Hilariously those guys were arrested and found to be Mossad. The story then immediately disappeared and has never been mentioned again.
