Anthony never thought his universal popularity with the fanbase would spoil. Apparently he didn’t know his fans very well. Anyone can end up in the barrel. In a way Ant is taking shit now for the same reason Opie did all those years. Because he thinks he is above it.

He and Joe both have a cornballish "old fashioned" vibe that they think is so candid and endearing that people can't help but like them. They probably think it comes across as refreshing.

Ant has stupidly thought he could control the internet all the way back to the WNEW days. Even past this, he's always kind of had a tense relationship with the fanbase. His buddy buddy act was fake from the start and it was inevitable people were going to turn on him.

Looking back, this really is as bad as Opie's, "Management loves the direction of the show". These two loathsome creatures made their careers fucking with people for fun and now they are trying to convince their audience that they don't get the point of it when people are doing the same thing to them. Only the most cult-like members of a fanbase would accept this logic.

All these years they loved the pests and egged them on to destroy people, not even because they personally had a problem with the targets, but just because it was funny. We should define phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3 for the new pests.

I think they don't realize how low effort it is either. Half of the guys on here are probably causing them hours of agony with a couple of posts while taking a dump at work.

Opie took the heat like a man, and eventually the tide turned. Anthony couldn't handle it, and got lost in the morass of a vendetta with no end in sight. Any hope of a rollback for Anthony seems entirely lost at this point. Eventually he's going to try to make peace, and get everyone back on his side. He'll be in for a big disappointment.

There are thousands of people on here at any given time. I think if you divide the amount of trolling they get by the amount of people doing it, the time would probably total something like 3-15 minutes of peoples day. In other words, not like a full time job.

keep in mind these fruits only work 3hours a day. so their concept of 'full time' is very skewed.
