I've never bought into the idea that once you're an alcoholic, the cure is to NEVER TOUCH ALCOHOL AGAIN IN YOUR LIFE.

My dad used to drink too much, so he cut back. It doesn't have to be an all or nothing situation.

Yeah no. My father is an alcoholic for 20-30 years now and he now can go months without drinking but if he drinks one beer he's fucked for at least two weeks, until an intervention can stop him.

Alcoholism is genetic and moderation doesn't work here.

it really is rude. i had 6 days no alcohol then my boss came out to the shop with a beer and now i’ve been drinking half a bottle of whiskey a night and beers all day again for almost 2 weeks now.
