On the AA show this week, Artie went on and on about how Howard's a cheapskate for not doing it. He literally likened the $50,000 needed for Scott's wife's treatments to a speck of shit on your shoe. That's what that amount of money would represent for Howard, according to Artie.
Now, he's saying Howard is the most generous person ever, and we shouldn't judge because we don't know his side of this.
I hate Stuttering John w/ a fiery passion, but if you listen to his Artie stories, this is just par for the course w/ Artie; he'll be on one side one day, and another the next. Depending who the last person he spoke to was.
Howard should say I gave you a good paying job for 30+ years, a health insurance plan and a 401K. Why the fuck are you begging in the streets after all that? Why are you shaming your boss? What the fuck did you do with all the money you made and we’re supposed to save? Why is it my responsibility to take care of your fucking wife? Thats your fucking responsibility. That’s what all the money and health and retirement plans were for. You’ve worked for CBS and Sirius for 3 decades. So you fuck off with all that money I had these companies give you and it’s somehow on me and my fans to forgive your financial fuckups? Her pain and suffering and death and your financial woes are on you, asshole.
I feel for Scott, but he has never been the most socially astute person, and he can be passive-aggressive as well...I wonder if instead of coming out and telling Stern he needed help, he thought he could just set up a GoFundMe and basically shame the guy into offering up the cash. If he did, that likely rubbed Stern the wrong way and backfired.
