By saying his lawyers had him plea when he shouldn’t have.

This is really the only scenario where he would be permitted to appeal.

That is very difficult to establish in Court. You’re basically saying “not only was my lawyer incompetent, but I was too stupid to understand that I was accepting a plea bargain.”
