Out of the loop ... what did Louis do to make Jimmy such a Judas? Poor Lou gave him all those big breaks but as soon as he got in trouble Jimmy joined the shame chanting crowd.

Norton and Jim started around the same time and have similar bits (sexual degeneracy, unnecessary meanness, self depreciation). Jim probably resented Louis because he's the one that became huge, and now he sees CK's fall as a way to give him that spot.

That's why he threw Louis under the bus, but still goes on with his pervert bullshit. He essentially said it in his interview, "CK is a weird creep, but I'm a cool one! I love liberal politics and I duck trannies, please accept me!"

The difference in their acts was that Louie had a family related part of his act but Jim could not do that. Louis used that part of his act to make himself relatable and could build a niche show on TV.

What "big break" did he give him other than letting him slap pizza out of his hand on Lucky Louie?

He put him in 2 different TV series. For someone who's blinky eye acting is worse than Louie beans, that's his big break.

Jimmy is called the worm for a reason

I remember October when we all hated Louie.

At least Judas had the decency to kill himself afterwards.

When Louis was kind enough to have the worm at his fancy thanksgiving celebrity dinner, he probably gave Jim a gentle reminder to have at least some tact while asking for pictures. Jim swore an oath of vengeance that night.
