The only time that movie came on my radar was when that carrot smuggler Tony Hinchcliffe was on some show saying how genius it was. I watched the trailer and felt embarrassed for him.
Love him because he's exposed Seinfeld as a fraud. David was the true genius behind that show, which most people didn't know at the time. Seinfeld is basically Opie. Surround him with talent, he'll be successful. On his own, he's a humorless, arrogant bore.
Yeah, the last few seasons of Seinfeld totally fell off a cliff when Larry vacated the writers' room.
Curb overall I feel is the superior show, primarily because of Larry's on-camera strengths. Jerry as a comedic actor is not nearly as dynamic. Larry's "character" is often loathsome, but he's still more likable than Jerry, who perpetually exudes smug prick.
Yeah, Jerry was always my least favorite character on Seinfeld. George was always the best, because he was pretty much Larry David disguised as a balding short man.
Why does everyone on here have to share an opinion? You're all afraid of looking uncool infront of eachother when in reality you're all the same faggot attempting to be funny and edgy... I hope not one of you is over the age of 15 or I suggest this entire website be killed immediately.

Larry is great, but Whatever Works is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
1 literalotherkin 2017-09-05
That movie man. Ouch. It was like Woody Allen imagining himself through Larry imagining himself as Woody.
Like Larry playing George in the last season of Curb but serious.

I had such high hopes for it but it was snobby, preachy, and all its humor came from the most tired stereotypes imaginable.
1 JMueller2012 2017-09-05
Well take solace in the fact that all the film snobbishness that the man excudes will never substitute the fact that he's morbidly obese
1 breadmoccasin 2017-09-05
Hey I wouldn't say he was a film snob. He's also a music snob and a comedy snob.

Meanwhile Ron made his name playing to rednecks in Tampa.

Its amazing how good the sitcom was, and how pedestrian his stand-up is.

I'll watch. Too bad that Sheldon Berman, Larry's dad on the show, just died a few day ago

The scene where he argues with Richard Lewis about the outgoing message could be the funniest scene in tv history
