RedEye is a corpse, it hasn't been the same since 2011 when Greg joined The Five, which originally started out as a concept of a afternoon version of redeye.

Joanne was an amazing guest, but she couldn't really replace Bill who was amazing at his role as sidekick.
plus Joanne got a lot of flak for replacing bill as sidekick.
Greg's new show sucks too. apprently he sort of ran out of ideas back in 2011 or something because he really hasn't made much of his new show. That might be because the golden trio of Bill Greg and Andy are fragmented.
Also Bill might literally be living in a dumpster now.
Plus Tom Shillue, while a big fan and did sort of help the fans by bringing back a lot of segments, doesn't have the sort of connection to guests that Greg and Bill had that made it seem like you were listening in on a fun conversation between friends at a bar.
Also this format, was amazing during the 2000s, by 2013, podcasts were basically doing the same thing but better
Joanne was hot and seemed nice. But she always seemed afraid to have an opinion on anything political. It was like she didn't want to piss off conservative viewers, but also didn't want to hurt her chances of getting hired by liberals.
But the main problem is Tom isn't good. They should have given it to Kennedy, who did a better job guest hosting.
The problem was that he clearly isn't a political guy, yet he went on a VERY politics / news oriented show. He just thought it was a right of passage for New York comedians to go on that show like the Skanks did, but he didn't bother looking into what it actually was. It's embarrassing and it proves once again why he sucks.
He really should have been in retail. I just don't think he's cut out for performing. But it's too late to turn back. He needs to buy a big life insurance policy and fake a car crash.
Wow. The combination of anxiety and confusion made for some of the cringiest shit I've ever seen on TV. If I was Joe, I'd be contemplating suicide right now.
