It's true. There is no work of art in the history of the western world that so completely explores pathos, karma, and self destruction like the saga of Opie. Just the fact that his own rejection of Jimmy and psychotic bargaining tactics led to this finale is so perfect. That stupid old actor was right. He is "the destroyer" but of his own life and his own long term relationships.

It also requires that we remember this is textbook Opie. Tell a lie about someone, the person responds and defends themselves, Opie immediately gets personal and insulting, then lastly he plays the victim.
Ant gets fired, Opie said he was gonna quit anyway and they talk all the time, Ant says he never wanted to quit and they haven't talked in a long time, Opie calls him human garbage, later on he cries on the air because a mutual friend wouldn't pick sides (and interprets this as an attack on himself.)
I can only hope he bring in as many other comedians as possible to "his side" and more people publicly turn on him.
