An honest review of Brother Joe Coffee

I would have given this coffee shop 5 stars if it weren't for a particular experience I had recently.

Let me start by saying that I come to this shop several times per week. I have a house blend cappuccino every time and it's delightful. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is warm and welcoming. Every time I visit, Momo makes me feel like a kid again. She has that forgotten country hospitality that brings me back the summers I spent on the ranch with my Nana Sue. I was only a kid at the time, so I didn't drink coffee but I remember the smell of Nana Sue's pot brewing while she cooked us all chicken and eggs.

But my nostalgic experience was ruined the other day when a new musical act took the stage at Brother Joe's. He called himself James Hefner and then told everybody he wasn't a pedophile. Then he launched into 14 songs that used the n word while looking my african american boyfriend directly in the eye. I can only assume the songs were aimed at us. After his performance was over, he came up to my boyfriend and said he wasn't racist because he taught black kids to play guitar, then he asked us for a cup of child spit and said he was Anthony Cumia's brother.

This whole experience has left me incredibly shaken, so I had to deduct one star. if your establishment can sort out its booking problems, I will be happy to bring my review back to 5 stars in the future.
