well, folks, ill give you a timeline. i predicted this 10 months ago, folks. this is around mid-2018...
-anthony cumia gets booted from twitter. we lose about a 1/3rd of content because of this
-the opie bit begins. with this, opie becomes off-limits. this guts another 1/3rd of the subs content
-i warn against this, folks. i state that we cannot afford to lose another 1/3rd of our content
-i am shunned and ridiculed, folks.
-i warn that with this lack of content, the sub would flail aimlessly looking for new targets.
-i state that this new target would be some SJW figure and this would eventually get the sub shut down.
-those folks tend to get stuff shut down, folks
-what i stated would happen, happened. four times, folks

I agree with all of this, but to describe it another way:
Our crowning achievement was the damage we did to Amy Schumer's career. And we fucking WALKED away from that, scott-free. Why? Because we went right back to our Opie and Anthony and Joe and Jimmy bashings, when the dust settled. All irrelevant "white" cis "male" nobodies. To the SJW media: it's like we disappeared into thin air, while The_Donald took our heat. That's why it was not only so effective, but that we were able to persevere, when other entities were punished or affected (ex: Netflix changing their voting structure).
When you become laser-focused for too long on one thing - especially on targets that are famous for being anti-free speech and are very effective at shutting things down AND have the connections to do it - without buttressing it by ripping on other irrelevant things....then this will happen, again and again. It happened to r/MDE with the consistent Jew bashing, and the same thing has happened to us.
We need to continue to attack Opie as much as the rest of them, because that keeps things balanced, and it helps us maintain our irrelevancy, after effective attacks against non-related targets. We WERE able to have our fucking cake and eat it too at one point, and it was BECAUSE of that.
The next sub has to reflect this.

interesting take, pal, but i dont think the amy schumer to pat comparison is that analogous. first of all, amy schumer is a giant public figure. literally and figuratively. also, she was targeted by basically everyone. from random subreddits to fucking steven crowder. im not saying the sub had no impact on her, but she was being targeted by so many people/groups that we were just another one of them.
the issue with pat is he was a literal nobody from twitter with no other group targeting him. he wasnt a public figure technically. this made what we did to him as proximal as it gets. the reason the sub never had that issue with ant was because hes a public figure and right wing so reddit wouldnt care.
