At first I was like “why the fuck is 42,000 followers a milestone for him? Seems like a really random number.” Then I realized he is a delusional Douglas Adams wannabe and it all made sense.
I don't think it has anything to do with Douglas Adams. He really believes he's something special because of his followers. He was stuck at around 41.8 for the past few months and his last "viral tweet" got him enough to finally get to 42k. Hes humble bragging about it. Just like he had to make a tweet about how his "viral tweet" got over 200k likes and how he made about about his "analytics". He never posts about actual things to be proud of, like book sales. It's all posts about how important he thinks he is.
