I just realized something. Someone who runs far and frequently often sands their nipples off and has twin blood streaks down their shirts. Pat wears a thick hoody, not only to hide his flab rolls but also to be able to say "my nipples WERE bleeding, you just couldn't see them, child!"
no because 400 miles a year is literally nothing for a runner. thats less than 8 miles a week. 15-20 a week is casual weekend warrior 5-10k runner. When I was training for a half my max was up to about 65 a week. He's not really a runner. A serious amateur training for a marathon is probably in the same range of +50. Your long runs are 16 or more miles.
