If you're only using it for shit posting, relative privacy over public WiFi, torrenting, or working around geo-blocks and not doing other illegal shit or whistleblowing, pretty much any service will work fine as long as they don't log (or claim not to), are relatively inexpensive, and have good speeds.
Most of the major providers have their own clients you can install so you don't have to fuck with installing and configuring OpenVPN / IPsec and their server list on your own. So it's essentially, setup a non connected email account on protonmail, go to the site and sign up, pay, install the client, connect, shit post.
Look at something like Nord or PIA, I believe they both let you pay in gift card transfers now too if you don't want to give them your name / cc or don't use BTC.
