As we saw today, Opie nor Jim have any idea on what route to take the show in. But in my opinion their greatest strengths as radio personalities is just to riff.. On a variety of topics. As an avid fan of the show (both hosts, and Jimmy) here are my opinions/views on the future.

3rd Mic Without Anthony the chemistry is a bit different, however as today proved, it is entirely possible to continue on with just the two of them and a rotating 3rd mic. Jim has a solid grasp on the NYC comedy scene and there are HUNDREDS of comics who would kill just to get some exposure. We already know friends of the show (vos, bobby , Soder etc) why not bring in some new fresh blood and see how they do? Bring in 2 at a time and have them bomb off each other if needed.

Content Politics is ok sometimes, news is interesting , apologies are fucking boring and we all saw the end to that bit with Anthony. But in my opinion content of the show should remain the same, movies, music, life stories, taking callers , etc

Do the bit While management doesn't allow the same things that they used to (girls shoving bats in their asses). That type of SHOCKINg radio has been long dead since the Internet came around. However there are still endless possibilities for bits that management would be ok with. You are in NYC, fucking throw Sal out on the street an have him ask random people questions / interviews or just troll people awkwardly. The most popular and "viral" videos on YouTube that have production value are just guys going out an fucking with people. It makes interesting radio and creates hundreds of different scenarios.

Visual element We know management would shit a brick if Opie put up that youtube stream every day. So why not try to only to do it with special events/bits? Suck up the past , swallow your pride with the old XM studio and fucking go sit in the Siriusxm "fishbowl", cover the windows, have some listeners in and dick around. Stream it online and get some new exposure for the show. That stream alone today already has close to 20k views an had about 5k as I was watching live - those numbers aren't bad at all for a 3 hour long video clip.

Guest Fuck 80% of guest. I love Opie but he is not a good interviewer, and Jim carrying the reigns without Opie on shows/movies he's never watched would be a train wreck. Anthony atleast knew some of the people you had in and what they did as he was a TV rat. But even with Anthony the majority of interviews were extremely boring. Some guest are good(ones who are natural and not pushing their product the entire time) but most suck. Book INTERESTING guest not necessarily famous ones, again, you live in NYC. There are freaks everywhere.

Staff Bring the staff on more, Less Sam as 3rd mic and more Sam as stirring the shit. I love Sam but I like him most when he isn't being a company man and he is just stirring the pot. Erock actually had a pretty good show on that Friday - as he was just riffin.

Channel As mentioned today, bring some new shows on. Put Ron and Fez back on dump that unfunny talentless fuck Gurian and have them go back to the old show. Raw Dog sucks.

The elements are all there for a great show, it's just going to take some hard work and a little change and getting out of the comfort zone. But I'll stick around and see how it goes.
