I was obsessed with that movie when I was a kid. My grandmother gave to me on VHS like a month before she died. So it kind of held a place in my heart.

It was a great kids movie, no doubt. Everyone credits PTA and Boogie Nights or Payne and Citizen Ruth for giving Burt a second chance, but it was Cop and a Half, damnit, years before that should get the credit. Kids who watched that movie on VHS were the young adults who thought he was cool again by the early 2000s.
He played football at Florida State. Burt was right too. Boogie Nights was an overrated snooze fest. Deliverance and Smokey & the Bandit were better. Faggy undersexed WASPs & Jews fetishize Boogie Nights. Ooooooh they’re shooting a porno. They do drugs. Crazy stuff, man.
