Schaub is one of the only Rogan guys I don't hate. I don't like him either but he's just a pudding head who puts a lot of work in. His career is more an example of stand up comedy being a profession where the only meaningful bar of entry is having connections in the industry.
I’m the same way. I wouldn’t dare listen to a second of his stand up comedy, but I don’t mind when he’s on Rogan. In fact, I think he’s wittier than Joe.
That said, I’m so sick of hearing about stand up comedy. It’s like when they say if your plumber starts giving out stock tips, get ready for a market crash.
These guys talk about standup comedy the same way UFC fighters talk about MMA. Imagine being someone as unfunny as Whitney Cummings and having the nerve to sit there and talk about your process with a straight face.

In a way, that's why I like Schaub to a degree. You have these "veterans" with decades in the business, pontificating about their craft. Then a former MMA fighter with tremendous CTE is able to accomplish more in 3 years than they have in their entire career.
It's like they're trying to introduce a comedian character in a movie. No actual jokes (because then you'd have to write them), just a generic piece of footage that looks like what a comedian does.
Add one line a bout salesmanship that trailer would work for a multi-level marketing guru.
It's not even so much that than the fact they give practically anyone a stand up special now. It used to be really rare anyone with less than 10 years in the business got a special, it was for pro's that were more than ready for one. Now they give them to anyone.

Unfortunately, he did not get any less hateable.

On top of that, he keeps at it despite every cry baby faggot comic at the comedy store talking shit about him.

If you enjoy the comedy stylings of Pro Bowler Rob Gronkowski, you’re going to love Brandon Schwabbs!

If you pretend the trailer is a parody it's pretty funny.

Its always a good sign when a stand up comedy promo contains no comedy. Makes people want it more. This guy's good.

Every man and their fucking dog does comedy now. Most over-saturated market in existence.

It's nice of Joe Rogan to use his pull at showtime to take care of his yes men.
