You’re a good man Pat. But isn’t it fair to say that Po was holding you back? Or were there off-air moments when you wish you gave him a taste of the knockout game?
In that instance Po was absolutely holding me back. The guy may have been a doofus, but he was a ninja for real. I was legitimately fighting against him with everything I had and I didn’t budge whatsoever.
Looking back there were plenty of chances for me to have physically assaulted him. I even had plans with friends of mine who were going to jump him during the pre show walk over to K-Rock. They were all very willing and able, but I never said the word. I should’ve.
You seem to have a good wife and good life. I’d say you won. We all have moments we fantasize about not being more violent in moments that pissed us off, but guys like Sam would ruin your life once you’re done ruining his day.
Oh I’ve won ten times over at this point. I don’t regret anything from those days. But you’re right, it’s nice to look back and think about just how satisfying it would’ve felt to just destroy him.
actual quote from Sam to Pat Duffy from the mid 2000 intern years. unfortunately the Pat Duffy AMA from the classic sub thread where he told this story is behind the privatewall on the old sub. can a mensch behind the privwall see if you can find this quote? or make some kind of archive of that thread u/cbanks420lol u/ whoever else? should be able to find the thread under u/patfnduffy's submitted threads

I shoulda hit him. All I owned then was like an ounce of weed and a couple vinyl records. Seems like it would’ve been worth it looking back.

Always had it on Saturday nights, too. Thought I’d get in trouble if I had asked any of you guys if you wanted to partake.

I know now and I wish I had participated. But I snuck out plenty of times to the secret staircase on my own so we’re good.

Pat I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I hope you snap one day and do something stupid and your faggot father has to cry over his boy.

Nah. Not gonna happen. I’ll tell my dad that you said hi, though.

Would you say Sam Roberts is the biggest faggot you've ever met?
8 PatFnDuffy 2019-05-14
I would. I would also say that he is legitimately one of the top 3 worst people I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life.
