These factors, along with the negative attitudes toward Germany and the collapse of the America First Committee with the outbreak of WW2, were probably the big reasons he didn't pursue it further.
And I see where you're coming from, but I respectfully disagree about the Muslims getting the same treatment from a major company. No company would risk pushing away customers like that, especially not one as big as Ford. The closest you'd get is some little patriotard company that makes those bullets that have pork in them.
