Reminder: The Worm actually believes Alcoholics Anonymous is a secretive group.

The "anonymous" part in AA is for individual drinkers who wish to not say they're name, not the actual group itself.

I remember he once said something along the lines of "I won't say which group I went to to stop drinking, because they request anonymity and I respect that."

Jim is a retarded faggot.

Nice they're, stupid.

You are otherwise completely on the money with that spineless cretin

How has no one ever corrected him on this and he’s been ‘sober’ for over thirty years?

People have given the little cunt a lot of leeway because of the promotion he could give them. Doug Stanhope was the only guest i can think of that called him on his "addiction" being a pile of shit. Look how he behaves when he doesn't get his way, he spits eggs on the floor, do you think hed tolerate being corrected on the cornerstone feature of his life?

What did Stanhope say?

From memory Jim was bloviating on mitch hedberg and how he understood addiction because hes an addict etc, and Stanhope challenged him by saying "well you didn't really flesh it out"

That's funny.

He also said Mitch died from Xanax when coming down from heroin.

The part I remember went something like: "You've been sober for 30 years. You're not recovering, you've recovered"

Thanks!

Come on dude. Jim once drank three Zimas. That will send anyone to rehab. Thirty five years later, and he still goes to meetings. It’s a tough one, man.

The first rule of A.A. is: you do not talk about A.A.. The second rule of A.A. is: you DO NOT talk about A.A.!

The third rule is that you suck a lot of dicks. Oh wait, that is just a Jim Norton rule.

11th tradition, dude

I know man, Jim is completely correct about this one.

Downvote me all you want guys. AA traditions state that celebrities not mention AA by name.

They're a bunch of faggots who have to be right about something they know nothing about. Don't bother.

He is the only person I’ve ever heard say anything about the anonymous alluding to some form of secret society. There is a chance that he made up his edging addict. He thought that sounded cooler than admitting he had nothing to talk about, because he was watching the game show network.

I think Jim's taking the whole thing. Even people who've never been to AA know what the anonymity part is. Also I thought he said anonymity is for faggots?

The first rule of Fight Club is do not talk about Fight Club

I've attended a lot of meetings and have no idea where Jim got the idea it's the equivalent to Bohemian Grove. Shit, I know half the people's full names and have been to their houses. Fuck he makes me cringe so much, most addicts just want to keep it to themselves. Wish he would stop making us sound like such douches.

11th tradition dummy

Uhhh yeah... when did I say you should expose people? Lol, when you go to the same meetings with the same people you build relationships over the years. But I suppose your wikipedia search trumps people's real life experiences lol.

Read the big book shithead you have no clue at all

You seem agitated, why don't you pour yourself a drink to ease the nerves. You can handle just one!

So when I pick up my sponsee and others to drive them to a meeting, I'm breaking the tradition? 🤔 when someone's having a tough night, and asks me to keep them company, I should say no? When my sponsor would have me over to do yard work just to keep me busy, he was really fucking up my recovery huh?

Shouldn’t mix booze with your schizo meds. Be careful out there!

They are SEAL Team 6 of retards who can't drink without spill it.

I get the feeling this Jimmy fella is a real nitwit.

ShhhHHHHUhhhhhhHHHHHHH! It's time for Sub Gossip.

A little gossip a little chat. A tittle idle talk of this and that...

A certain star of the Jim and Sam show is part of a secret group. They abstain from alcohol...they have secret meetings...they prefer to stay anonymous...?

I'm not saying who this person is but the Worm has turned...

Who could it be now?

cue 45 minutes of jobless losers calling in to the r&f show to tattle on each other

Razzle dazzle

Ewwww are you the kind of guy that speak of the name of the group that you are not supposed to mention? Awwww baby Roy!!!!

I'd tell you if the group had a name, genuinely. Sir, sir, sir, sir, I'd tell you.

I remember going on a little family vacation at this resort place. My nephew saw a sign for 'Friends of Bill W' and wanted to hang out because he thought it was a party. What a retard.

He thinks Alcoholics Anonymous is a secretive group because they always kick him out when he tries to approach their door.

Jim is 50 years sober this year.

Really shocking in light of his academic achievements

Jim is not and has never been an 'addict'. Jim likes to pretend he is for attention and to make himself seem like he's a tortured "comedian" to try and fit in with that crowd. A few beers as a teenager does not classify you as an addict Jim and no one is buying your bullshit, fucking fag.

You guys dont get it AA and rehab saved his life! He was UNDERAGE drinking you know how much trouble he could have gotten into with his mom and dad? He could have been grounded the whole summer had he not begged for help!

Imagine going to the same meeting as him. They have a lifetime of drinking stories and he has one highschool party he relives every fucking meeting.
