I first came aboard this Sub when the Opie-Hate was peaking. Might be hard to imagine now, but back then, Opie was the Patrick Tomlinson of the Sub. Everybody was tearing him apart, rightfully so.
It interesting how things & eras come & go over time.
Believe me I remember. The day he was fired from Sirius this sub was putting champagne on ice.
I just don't get why people haven't realized the bit is played out, ironically pretending to love opie was funny for like 5 minutes. This sub needs to get back to its roots if you ask me
The old sub started to show a “soft spot” for Joe, because of his forthcoming-ness, and soon after, threads supporting Joe started popping up here & there. “Ironically” or not, Joe had reached the hearts of some of the members here.
This was when he was angling to get some kind of buzz to try and get show on the food network with Carl like Drive ins, Diners and Dives. Perfect avenue for a former radio shock jock with zero personality and no personality.
