I heard the author harasses children for sexual reasons.

Wait are we talking about Anthony Cumia's book, or someone elses? I'm so confused.

This is helpful

excellent work, Officer👮 . You’ve once again brought a sick man who pushes scientific nonsense to justice. You’re doing the Lords work, he is very pleased. Amen. 🙏🏻

Downvoted for the emojis.

🆒

That's just an honest review. What am I supposed to be seeing here?

That he is legitimately bad.

He responded and the reviewer wrote back in the comments.

This can also describe any of those shitty Marvel movies

Careful what you say about comicfag movies, we have users here like /u/christopher_barton who are grown men that still read comic books and participate in online forums related to them every single day.

My apologies. Will watch what I say about the sacred cow that is Marvel.

A sacred cow worshipped mainly by cows. Unless you're a scrawny involuntary homosexual like /u/christopher_barton. I imagine he is covered in acne like scales on a lizard.

So how does this work?

Does a 'verified purchase' mean that the comment cannot be reported by the author and possibly be removed if it looks suspicious?

Can a 'verified' comment say basically anything short of slander?

As a reader and pundit, I'm keen to know!

I guess we’ll find out. You know he will try to have it removed because he assumes that even honest reviews are trolls. Ironic considering his five star reviews are clearly his friends and family.

I've been curious about that. Can an author really dispute their reviews on Amazon? That seems crazy.

This piece of shit reviewed his own book through Goodreads website. Not sure how the heck that is allowed.

Amazon also weighs Verified Purchase reviews much more heavily in your star rating, tends to show them first at the top of the reviews and also most saavy customers looks for Verified Purchase reviews as serious.

If you've got the 2.99 for a Kindle copy... It's worth giving Patrick the nickel or whatever he makes on it.

And who knows, I might genuinely love his writing style.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He already responded to it like the whiny bitch he is.

“Dear little one...”

He did? Where?

On the review itself. Come on, man, you know he personally responds to every negative review. Dude can't handle criticism, he's been doing this shit for years longer than we've even known about him.

Oh I knew that, it just didn't show up on the mobile app.

Here. Wow, what an asshole!

Why does he think that that doesn't make him look way worse?

Are there really a lot of big time, published authors who are claiming negative reviews on their books are a conspiracy and calling reviewers pathetic?

Is there a way to report Fatrick to Amazon about this? I would not think bullying people into giving a good review is an acceptable practice.

There's a report abuse button on his comment.

I honestly would just leave it alone. Having that response sitting there to a well-reasoned review makes him look like a fucking lunatic.

looks like the reviewer replied to patrick's dumb shit and is perplexed

Oh my god, I'm dying. Will add this to my other post as an update. Thanks!

I cannot see this on my phone using the app, chrome, or safari, desktop site, nothing.

Responded and, surprise surprise, he's blaming us: "Oh look, a "verified purchase" one day after your little subreddit came up with a plan to abuse the ratings and return system in order to continue your obsessive little vendetta. How pathetic."

We've broken him.

Well... That's like.. your opinion, child.

Mr. Manchester rules. Spot on.

Do you think Stephen king responds to bad ratings?
