Was the new Mel movie good?

Did it even have a theatrical run? I could only find it on demand. Looked alright but the 3 hour run time seems a bit overkill. Watched Brawl in Cell Block 99 by the same director and it was decent.

It was only playing at a movie theater in Manhattan from what I saw around me and I wasn’t going to take an hour train to see it so I watched it on demand. With that said though, I think it’s my favorite movie of the year so far.

Ha ha. Bensonhurst? Bay Ridge? Maspeth? Jersey? What are some of them other hour-away areas we got?

Long Beach

I can't imagine a Long Islander looking down on anyone other than a Staten Islander.

Syosset, Jericho, Woodbury, parts of Huntington, Great Neck, and the Hamptons are all A+. The rest, not so much.

I'm from the city. Long Island is unequivocally better than Jersey. Trashy trashhole filled with trash people.

Yes, it’s very good. It’s noir film with no real main character so anything can happen to anyone. I’ve seen it twice and it’s much better than Brawl imo.

That's a bold statement, yet I find myself in agreement

Wanna see the Mel movie.

I saw it and thought it was great. It doesn't feel long despite the run time. The time it took for the character development made the story more engaging.

It's pretty great. Much better than any of the other shit Hollywood put out this year. The other Zahler films are fucking awesome.
