I would like to take this opportunity to remind my fellow sub-men on /r/opieNanthony to stay strong in these trying times. We have been ritually abused by a Caucasian moderator /u/SpaceEdge (Wonder how he got THAT spot? White Priv, much?) and his entourage of Yes-Men, who all congregate via Discord by doxxing their enemies, and offering Reddit mod powers to anyone willing to pay the hefty price tag, to enrich himself.

These disgusting trolls carried out hateful attacks on perfectly innocent entertainers and podcasters for nearly 7 years. SEVEN YEARS they went undetected. Most recently, by blind-siding and harassing a man, who simply did not enjoy comedian Norm Macdonalds latest special. These are the kind of people we were all dealing with by sharing a sub.

People who leave threatening messages on the Guestbook of someone's recently deceased mother. People who bring SNL star Leslie Jones to tears, by spamming her twitter mentions with vile images and "locker room talk." People who flood Amazon and Netflix reviews of Amy Schumer's wonderful work. SpaceEdge, and his heroes Anthony Cumia and all the rest... they lorded over us for too long. Some of us were even bullied into doing their bidding... I know I was...

We even survived the mass invasion of Million Dollar Extremists, a far-right white supremacist terrorist organization wing of The Proud Boys. When their Hate Sub was banned, they invaded our community and Reddit Admins did absolutely nothing to stop it. They called us "old men" and "boomers" and made fun of the way we spent our money, and the things we liked. They would spam threads with Baba Booey Baba Booey until we just couldn't take it anymore!

We have been smeared by online publications, covertly studied by institutes, and worst of all - We have been defined BY our abusers. We will no longer sit by. This is our story. This is us.

Although we called /r/OpieAndAnthony our home for many years, we must come to the realization that the past is the past. Something pure and beautiful was destroyed by 1 drug addict and his loyal, cunning, creative, resourceful band of minions. The subreddit has been destroyed, and so TOO has their legacy. Every crime they ever committed - poof. Gone. Everything they ever organized, said, did - It's all gone. Archives may pop up, but as we all know, Archives, especially screen captures, are very easily manipulated.

Hate campaigns based on racism, xenophobia, homo-hating, and attacks on the lesser gender are not what we are all about here. We all know this. We have discussed this for the past 4 years. You MDE leftovers, you SpaceEdge Followers, and most of all Compound Media Subscribers... You are pieces of human garbage, and what you made us go through for 7 years was abuse.

Today, this is our Swan Song. Today, we fly this coop.

I thank our creator, whomever you may believe in, for allowing us to Shed the evil-doers. We have been given a second chance at life, and we are here with our fellow Radio Lovers to stand, hand in hand, against fascism and hate.

Everything can be good again. Amazing things are going to happen. We are all together now.
