Subpoena! I did the math.

So being curious how insane Patrick's claims are, I didn't a little research an some rough math.

The average cost to get an ISP supbeona in a John Doe case averages $20,000 for each subpoena. It can dip lower, as low as $15k. Expenses balloon from there, because a lawyer and a judge must issue a subpoena in every state for each ISP.

This is for every individual John Doe subpoena. So the legal action that Fatty is proposing, *just with the 300 IPs he claims he has would amount to between $4.5 to $6 million dollars.

I shouldn't have to explain why a lawyer wouldn't work on contingency for millions for dollars in legal fees alone. So in order to file a civil suit, frivolous or not, against 300 John Doe would require a retainer of hundred of thousand of dollars just to start with. Patrick would have to pay those millions himself, knowing that a group of anonymous trolls is not going to come anywhere near likely to group more than a single-digit percent of that.

"Clearing six figures" isn't going to cut it for this gut.

Wow this is surreal it's almost like Patrick was just a liar and a fat faggot this entire time. Talk about a plot twist

But he got a sub shut down and declared victory. I saw it on his IG... I would have commented to congratulate him but he won't open comments for some reason... probably just shy.

I like that science and logic support my gut feelings about this chubby queen.

This guy gets it

Oh yeah, and there's also the fact that ISPs deny civil subpoenas all the time. No one wants their personal information given up in frivilous lawsuits, and a lawyer showing up to ABC Internet asking for the personal details of 75 paying customers would get told to fuck right off.
