I mean in all honesty, he seems like an ok dude. He just bilks studios out of money to make his dumb movies, and he makes sure him and his friends are taken care of. Compared to the rest of the awful people in Hollywood, he's practically a saint.
There's a couple of Nick Swardsen interviews where he says the same thing; it's not exactly a secret.
Sander picks a resort, flies his friends out there for a couple of weeks, they hammer out the script during the day and have fun at night, all of it a business expense. Pick up one or more sponsors, give your friends cameos and writing credits on the movie, and do the whole thing again.
It ran a few episodes on Netflix before being shit canned. They NEVER featured or advertised it, so you know you're in trouble when even Netflix thinks it's shit.
Anyway, Norm appeared on our shit show multiple times for a pittance and he didn't even phone it in. He's a saint on Ert. There's nothing he wouldn't do for the Makin' Copies guy.
I want to say I'm surprised it got that far but all he has to do is put in a call to Sandler. Rob Schneider should be washing cars somewhere near Mexico for a living.
I discovered this off of PsychicPebbles who analyzed this as Rob Schneider watching Curb or Louie and not realizing that the main characters had to mock themselves in order for the format to work.
The whole show is apparently Rob Schneider having strangers recognize him and praising him for how famous and rich he is, as well as having a young spic 7 for a wife.
The editing is so painful. There's sometimes a noticeable beat when they cut from one shot to the next of the actors responding. The lighting is straight out of an alien abduction scene. As someone else said it's essentially a humble brag about how awesome he is.
I tried to watch this as a goof. The only scene I could get through before I turned it off, a guy is trying to sell Rob a burned copy of Deuce Bigelow!!! And then Rob signs it and the guy gets mad because it LOWERED the value of the burned DVD!
Sandler seems like a good dude but fuck him for enabling this shit.
