I'll bet it was all that crooked Keith The Cop's doing. Anthony probably wanted to let Joe be the producer and Keith stepped in and threatened Anthony with blackmail and forced him to give the job to him instead. Anthony also probably wanted to up Joe's allowance from 60k to 120k and Keith put a stop to that too.

Keith just has so much dirt on poor Anthony that he's helpless and unable to defend himself. He just a vulnerable, frail old man and Keith is using him and bleeding him dry.

You know, if my younger brother was being abused by someone like that I would step in and do my big brother duty by putting a stop to it. I'd protect my baby boy. And he'd probably love me so much for doing it, and be so grateful that he's shower me with large sums of money and fancy gifts for the rest of our days.
