What's this sub's opinion of Vin Diesel?

As far as I can tell, he's pretty cool. I like the Riddick franchise. He was good in Saving Private Ryan, although his screen presence was brief.

Nerds love him because he plays Dungeons & Dragons which normally I would mock, but in this case I think it makes him seem more authentic.

Thing is, the serious players actually role play - they come up with a character's backstory, personality, even voice; and then play out that character's actions with all that in mind. If you're a professional actor like Diesel is then that's just free acting practice.
