Regardless of what he says, Nana is afraid to really unload on Opie because in the back of his mind he thinks there's still a chance of one last big cash-in reunion and he doesn't want to fuck it all up. It's the same reason he doesn't just go full-MAGA with his gay show, as he doesn't want to fully alienate the showbiz world he still thinks he's a part of, however tenuously. He talks a big game on Twitter but in real life he's totally gutless.
