I believe this is what it all boils down to. Years ago His “comedy” was angry and aggressive. Having to live his life as a heterosexual man, to this day, eats away at him. The hookers and the depravity that he so openly discussed was a smokescreen. I have not listened to Jim and Sam in a year or more, have not seen or listened to any of his standup and don’t follow him on social media at all. Since I don’t know what he is doing/saying now I am not sure what his public persona is now. I can only speak to what I knew when I was a fan of his.

About a week before the event, he did a podcast with Matt Serra where they did a phone interview with Stipe. During the interview, Stipe talked about how he was expecting a daughter, and Matt and Stipe started shooting the shit about kids and stuff. Jim got really quiet and Matt brought it up. I forget what Jim's exact response was, but it was something to the effect of "yeahh... it's all good man"
