Sunshine is one of the best Sci-Fi movies ever and that was Fox Searchlight, their indie studio. As was Millions and 127 Hours, critic favorites. Jobs was Legendary, Slumdog was some no-name French distributor which was a bit part of the media hype for a literal underdog story. Yesterday is Universal I think...
While Boyle is def not an auteur filmmaker, he's also def not a studio hack either.
Oh ffs, another one of these fucking “Sunshine” worshippers. That movie was garbage, fans of this are almost worse than people who swore by “Unbreakable.” Get your head on straight, son.

I didn't even like Trainspotting and that's probably the only film of his I've seen.

I knew something was off about you. If you can't appreciate Dawn of the Dead 2k4, you're not people.

Zombies movies are for emo girls in 2007.

I think Trance is solid neo-noir, but it's been years since I've watched it. The only thing i remember is a character gettinf a half decapitation.

He is all over the place but yeah more like an inability to consistently choose the right project. This Beatles thing looks fucking terrible though.

Millions and 127 Hours are garbage. Sunshine is like 2/3 good. Jobs was horribly directed, it should have been Fincher. Slumdog was a piece of shit.
