I met the drummer at an Iron Maiden show. He was nice as fuck.

My dad knows two of them. Super cool guys to be honest. But their band stinks.

Anvil and Brother Joe are pretty similar. They both even have award-winning documentaries done about them.

I first read it as “Advil” in instantly assumed he was angry to be forced to pick cotton when opening it.

In that Anvil movie the big question was: why didn't Anvil become big like Maiden or Metallica or even like Anthrax or something. The reason: the vast majority of their music fucking sucks.

That said, Lips/Reiner are like Plant and Page next to Faggot Joe and his collection of gay cover bands. U2 and Journey are as limp as rock music gets, so naturally Joe chose to cover them instead of good bands.

I saw Anvil a few months ago cause they were playing a venue my friend works for. I was surprised at how entertaining the show was. It was pretty packed and the band hung out and drank with everyone afterwards. I got up the next day and none of the band members left a review on the venue’s social media pages like Bovine Joe does.
