Good ones do. Fair bit of money in it for good ones. Saw a band in a 2000 seater theatre a few years ago. It was a good night out to be fair.
There are also music festivals just made up of tribute acts now. I saw one advertised with a Noel Gallagher solo act. I like that even the tribute band couldn't keep oasis together
IN ALL HONESTY that would be super neat to see: the process of a band learning and nailing those covers. If a good cover band live streamed their practice sessions, I could see people donating to that Gofundme.
As long as your gigs don’t keep getting cancelled you can make money at it. Once you learn 2 full sets of songs you can practice once a month or less and it won’t matter. It’s not like you have to get together and be creative.

Maybe he would want to take after his little bro and do 2 hour sessions four days a week.

This doc is one of the most cringe inducing things I’ve seen. It’s about a Kiss tribute band. It’s really unintentionally funny.

Kiss is already such an embarrassment but I could understand that it printed money for those involved
A kiss tribute band though? That's just sad

No thanks, pal, unless by "partying" you mean standing up for injustice ev-er-y day.
