pretty sure there was a combo of people hostile to the sub creating bogus accounts to spam pat stuff then using other accounts (or pat or someone using their main account) to report it as DMCA breech. also there were bitter people (crookedmile or kyle) who reported it to r/againsthatesubreddits and it actived a whole other group of people, who otherwise didn't know about it, to press for the ban. the mods there tried, little could be done.
