Most people who contacted with that virtuous duo include words in their report such as "awkward", "uncomfortable", "cold", "unfriendly", "disappointment"

Fans were disappointed, club owners can't stand him, young comedians avoid him and real comedians make fun of him.

serious question: do any young, male comics consider Norton a mentor? Soder and Normand seem to get along well with Jim, but I doubt that even they would point to him as a significant influence on their careers.

Jim seems far too self-absorbed to mentor anybody. He couldn’t even be bothered to stay off his phone on JRE, so he’s definitely not going to go out of his way for a (relatively) unknown comic.

Both Soder and Normand said on the radio that for most of their careers they thought Jim didn't like them.

Yup, I know a girl who worked at Sirius as a low level employee during O&A and she said it was known throughout the entire building staff that Norton was a creep and was to be avoided at all costs. When she found out I was into O&A she almost cancelled our date.
