Saw it today and it was great. Dave rules.

I hate the world. I've taken up choke jerking in the hopes that I'll accidentally kill myself because I'm too much of a pussy to commit suicide.

I take comfort in the fact that at least ordinary people aren't totally insane. Comments sections are sometimes full of ordinary people calling out this shit too -- which is why they're shutting them down.

Nuance is long dead. The critics and fans are overstating their position. For me, the special was mildly funny, but inoffensive. It's the moderate, reasonable portion of this country that doesn't want dick jokes politicized.

Don't really know about that. His general audience approval there is 90 percent and critical response is nearly as high. So if anything the audience may be mildly exaggerating their like for the new special whereas the critics are clearly being negative cunts.

Oh, yeah, this definitely paints the critics as complete hack frauds. There is a whiff of the audience trying to stand up to them, which is understandable, but also somewhat bisexual.

Abe, /u/literalotherkin ; chill - it's not what it looks like.

Someone on one of the other threads pointed out that only a small handful of reviewers had seen it prior to launch (six on Rotten Tomatoes); this suggests that Netflix hand-picked them, probably for their expected reaction.

So a small selection of easily-triggered idiots watch the special, and have various tut-tutting woke takes on it, which brings in readers. A second tier of useful idiots see this and compete to have the wokest take of all, which brings in even more readers, and sets the agenda for the news. Then there's a third tier of backlash to the first two tiers, which brings in even more readers.

At this point Netflix have made millions of people spread across a wide range of markets aware of Dave's new special, all from a couple of early previews. Throw in a short-but-decent ad for the show on YouTube, and the fact that Netflix is so readily available, and you start seeing a shit ton of positive audience reviews - some because they liked it, some because "fuck you, Hollywood!".

See also Sony deleting positive YouTube comments for Lady Ghostbusters, so that the comments section looked like a cesspool of misogyny so that the same useful idiots would write positive articles about that particular pile of shit.

This is the danger of allowing so many jews to hold media positions.

Paging MelGibsonBot

Look how butthurt the groupthink corporate mainstream media is.

He's definitely one of the good spooks

I can't imagine the rigorous academic training one must go through to become a professional stand-up comedy special critic.
