He gets a superficial satisfaction from “well I’m not even trying and look how successful CPM is” while taking Keith at his word about the “numbahs”. He sits down at the couch at night after a good bud light buzz and thinks “ya know what, it’s coming along nice” but it’s not, and after the buzz is gone and the sun rises the anxiety comes back.
