Well, I hate to give a serious answer, but DMCA shit is kinda gonna be a "guilty until proven innocent" situation, which is why I despise the DMCA in general, because it is an affront to American legal tradition of innocent until proven guilty.

The DMCA allows alleged copyright owners to immediately take down anything online regardless of fair use exemptions or even licences in some cases because they "feel" that their copyright was infringed. Then the website run by a private corporation almost acts like a quasi-court in a way, setting a deadline for a counter-claim, etc. Until it is all resolved.

The point I'm trying to make here is that unfortunately the DMCA system, as I hope I could describe, is woefully biased in favor of lying complainers as opposed to honest people. Corporations who control popular websites will always err on the side of fewer lawsuits if they can.

I'm not sure really. I wish I could tell you, but sometimes you got to admit when you might have run out of ideas.
