The first was good. Really long but it kept me interested and had good performances.
I wouldn’t mind making Richie gay if they had hinted at it in the first movie, but it just came out of nowhere in this one to win some inclusion points. I also didn’t think Bill Hader was all that great like everyone won’t shut the fuck up about. Such corny shitty lines
I actually like that cheesy made for TV version they made back in the day and will go back to it. Like most old King adaptations the quality of production is utterly awful but it's actually pretty entertaining.
Same here, wise brotherman. It's more or less a classic to me. I found that I cared more for the characters in that version. Tim Curry managed to be funny/witty yet very creepy. The 70's through 90's horror is where its at.
I found that I cared more for the characters in that version.
Me too. Especially them as children. Maybe it's just the 50's vibe that surrounds them but I always liked those 'Losers'. Nothing like building a dam as a kid.
yea he's basically cursed in terms of his books being made into movies, they almost Always stink regardless of his input (although he directed maximum overdrive). Pet Sematary was legit. I thought the 2019 It was alright, not fantastic, and I enjoyed the old miniseries.
Regarding that curse he genuinely fucking hated Kubrick's Shining -- one of the best horror films of all time -- and then had a lot of input into that awful TV miniseries version. Too long staring into the abyss or something I guess.

I enjoyed the first one but the second was really bad. Not un entertaining at parts. But bad.

Not to me. Tim Curry was the only good thing about it. Fucking John Boy Walton with his awful stutter/ponytail combo

Imagine the Cumias did a version of The Waltons. Anthony would play the role of John Boy Fucker.

His books are like Nana's radio trajectory - start out strong and ends with mind-numbing stupidity.
