And...? Then you let her serve you. You don't spinelessly sign whatever she puts in front of you and then sign away your rights to your own child. Signing away parental rights for a married couple that is divorcing is extremely rare, and doing so when you actually want to be a part of the child's life is practically unheard of. The only instances I've ever heard of where of guys who were about to go to Iraq after a short fling.
It cannot be stressed enough how insane it was for Patrick to sign away his parental rights for seemingly no reason.
