I remember when I found out my favorite science fiction author was also a comic, I was delighted. And then I saw these pictures and haven't been able to look at him the same way. I guess maybe he wasn't trying to be cute when he signed my book, "Never trust a black child. Not to deliver your paper, and not to keep his mouth shut. -PT". Makes me wonder what else I was missing when I misread that as ironic folksy wisdom.
