My opinion is to give it until October, see if there's a co-host, then go scorched earth with this stupid thing and leave it to the faggots in TACN.

It seems this thread is the best representation of what's happening to the show. The odd shuffle, the occasional cough, another guy walking out the door. It's 11.45pm and the bar's about to close. You look around and see only weathered regulars who are still quoting from back in the day. I'm desperately sorry Ant fans. It appears Compound Media is an unfortunate failure.

Ant's own show is depressingly repetitive and completely lacks energy. On Wednesday 17th's show he genuinely struggled to keep talking. Fair enough he has to talk for 2 hours at a time and on this occasion he was alone. But you still have 2 hours of supposed 'entertainment' to produce. Add to that, if you consider the quality of guests this week - Zac Amico, Joe List, Ian Halperin and somebody else I can't remember, watching the show becomes a fairly miserable prospect. The show has no originality to it - it's simply Ant's often solo commentary of videos we've all seen, his war on the black community, the snoozefest that is trump or him playing video games. It's a far cry from O&A and is genuinely depressing to watch.

That is not to say the network doesn't have it's good points. IHW is fucking hilarious. They fill their time with original ideas and keep pushing the envelope. The time they broadcast flies by and I find myself looking forward to the next show immediately after finishing the last. And there have been times where Ant's show has worked out. The MLC appearance was great. Jim is amazing when on. The DiPaulo/Nigh show was fucking hilarious. Every now and then the show's good. But watching 30 hours of dull and awkward talks with people Ant clearly doesn't gel with in order to get to the 2 hours where it works is just painful. To me it seems the issues could be repaired the following ways.

1. Move ant to second mic on TACS and have somebody in to 'steer the ship'. Ant is a reactionary funny-man. He works best when he doesn't have the pressure of running the show. Look at Lenny Marcus and Kevin Brennan. Lenny steers the ship but the show is all Brennan. And it's the best podcast out there right now.

2. Abandon the cliche'd 'lets commentate on viral vids, news and politics' shit with every show. Try things. Take note from NYC Crime Report and IHW - they always seem to find other, more original ways to make a show. And if you do end up talking about viral vids, news and whatever, try a 'bit'. Look at what Sam and Jim did with the Weiner story. It was hilarious!

3. Give IHW more shows! So what you'll have to pay them! They're the only thing keeping your network interesting and fresh!

4. Steal MLC from Riotcast. Quickly becoming the best and most popular podcast on Riotcast and a video streaming system would suit that show enourmously. They're currently trying to get onto Opie's network so it'll be a huge fuck you to opster

5. GET JIMMY. Pay him whatever he wants. Suck his dick. Tickle his balls. Twist his nips. Whatever he wants, fucking do it! Jim and Ant was always the show we wanted. It was always how the show would work. Make Jim 3rd Mic, Ant 2nd mic and somebody to steer the show as 1st mic! THAT is how TACS will become a good fucking show.
