Youtube has an ad free option...

Maybe Compound Media should pony up the $10 a month (99 cents for the first three months) to not have to deal with ads when they want to pop up videos quickly.

You think Keith the Incompetent will go for something innovative? Just enjoy watching the ship sink fellas.

You realize that YouTube Red is just ad-free for consumers, right? They don't have to put ads on their YT videos but chose to. If you don't want ads on YouTube, you can just subscribe to Red - they will all just go away.

I have red, I meant for when they show videos and have to skip or show the ads to us

YouTube ads have gotten so out of hand that I signed up for red this week to give it a try. Honestly, it's pretty great. It's a shame it's ten bucks a month but I'm enjoying YouTube WAY more.

You could just use Ad Block Plus for free. I usually forget YouTube has ads on videos.

This. I don't watch youtube on my phone because I can't find a good adblocker for Android but on my laptop I hardly see an ad on anything.

opera has an adblocker

Just get an adblocker for $0 forever you fucking can.

You have a good one for Android, then?

Beyond that, the offline and locked-screen playing are very convenient. The other apps that do that have shitty UI and lackluster search results.

i just got an offer to get youtube red for 99 cents for 3 months. I like the offline streaming and background streaming, i just get adblock for ads.

I believe YouTube red comes with a Google play music subscription as well. I know my play music subscription gives me ad free YouTube.

It does, I got the music subscription back when it was 8 a month and now i also get ad free youtube, very worth it to me especially since i pay for it with the google opinion rewards credits

I miss the good ol' days, when radio hosts talked to each other. Listening to radio hosts describe what they're watching on TV is about as interesting as watching paint dry.
