yes compound media needed a sports show. I do not want ESD to change his show at all but being a guest on this show to talk about sports would be amazing.
I wanted to like this, and gave it a shot. I like both of these guys from the other shows I've heard them on.
However, Aaron Berg seemed to be trying way too hard the whole time, and Geno didn't seem comfortable unless he was doing sports talk.
Speaking of that, sports talk is a terrible idea for a podcast. Many of us don't listen live, and in a few days nobody will remember what the hell you're talking about, and none of the predictions or opinions about what's going to happen will be relevant at all.
It got a lot better when they got a guest on. Maybe if they keep guests coming on more, and stay away from sports, it would be funnier. I did like the bit about the Roots remake with an all-female cast.
I agree for the most part, I think for a "sports show" to be relevant on Compound Media, it needs to stand out. For example, i hate sports talk radio, but when nick and artie and later artie had their show on sxm and directv, i loved it, it wasnt normal sports talk, they would trash the staff, make bocchetti do bits, and it was overall very good radio while having somewhat of a legit take on sports. I dont think "In hot water" is going to be all sports because the podcast format doesnt support that unless you're a daily listener, which obviously cant happen with this being a once a week show. All that being said, I dont think its bad, but it hasnt sucked me in yet. Compound Media needs a flagship 3rd show, TACS, Gavin and Skanks was worth the subscription tenfold. Dixon and ESD are great, but they are once a week and dont have as much of a following as LOS did. Im interested to see where it goes from here. Sorry for the novel
Yeah, when they did the live fill in show, the took calls, and that was cool, the way they handled the callers. I only watch live shows so I hope they do them live.

And I've checked out. I didn't think this would be a First Take wannabe.

A nice balance of racism and sports talk. This show is right up my alley.

Yeah I agree. I also don't follow sports so I'm a little biased there - maybe some people thought it was funny. I plan on giving them another listen.
I just wish we had the Anthony and Gavin show every day, with a rotating guest comedian.

The show was alright. It will be alot better once it is live, phone calls, more bobo etc...
These are the men who will finally pay someone to fuck Bobo.

They came off as being overly excited to be there, but I'm guessing that'll wear off as they find their groove. Overall, not a bad show.
