ah ok....he pretty much lied about everything at different times. All we know for sure is he cancelled the pool party. But even then, Opie was questioning if there ever was a party. I think he was just busting balls on that one, but Rob really did lie about everything

Without hearing the show, and only speculating, I'd imagine he thought it would be awesome to have a party where celebrities came and it would make him feel cool in front of his friends, but then realized they would just come and rip on everything, especially him, humiliating him in front of his friends, so he cancelled.

At least, that's how I figured it would happen when they were talking about it last week...

It go to the point where i was just laughing at Ants non-participation, the only thing he would say for the last 20-30 minutes of the bit was "i think we've EXHAUSTED ALL OPTIONS HERE" in this exasperated tone. Sometimes you would hear this distant "...yeah...." from him.

Just laughing at the last 20 minutes to see what Ant was going to say next when you know he didnt give two fucks about the entire thing.

Ya, it was pretty clear the story was dragged out as much as it was because of Opie. Hell he even told people to tweet him after the show if they had any other theories. I am NOT an Opie basher, I know there are certain things he does bring to the show, but it was not good to have such a "meh" show directly after a "FUCKIN HOME RUN" on Friday. Our "anti-Opie" peeps around here prob loved it, at least a little.

I listen all the time, no matter what so if you have nothing else to do I'd def say give it a listen either way. It's not that the pool party story was shit and shouldnt have been discussed at all, it just didnt need to go on for an hour 45 minutes. It was entertaining at first, but dragged on a bit.

Depends. I got a genuine kick out of the last half hour of the bit like I said cuz of Ant, and afterword the rest of the show was okay. But you could certainly fast forward like an hour and a half.

To me man, even an hour of shit intern opie and anthony radio is better than anything else, including howard. But Im aware that not everyone is like me.

It shows how the show has evolved. Opie wants celebrities and 'Stern' -like staff interactions on the show. Everyone else wants entertainment. He needs his own show, O&A has passed Opie by.

The contrast between Friday and Monday is glaring. I don't have a problem with anyone on the show, I just want to hear a good show, and NOBODY enjoyed that 2 1/2 hours of fucking stupidity.

I'm sure Opie said "I can see it, I know when people are lying" over 100 times during that segment, but I didn't listen to it. I got through the first 20 minutes or so, got sick of it so started skipping forward in 10 minute increments. And another 10, and another 10 etc etc. I couldn't fucking believe it. Asking the guy the same question and getting nowhere.

AND THEN the fucking Shit Show starts with talking about it, so I just skipped it entirely.

At least I managed to get caught up on the Rogan podcast and Skeptic Tank.

The contrast is certainly strange. To go from Friday to today, lol.

Im also not an opie basher cuz I know that even though there may be shows like today from time to time, theres also shows like Friday from time to time. Shit gets balanced out :)
