I had the HTC Incredible through Verizon and the SXM app was consistently awful. Then I switched to an iPhone and it was a bit better...and now it's consistently awful. This is both using WiFi and 3G. I usually just catch a webstream to listen live or catch it after it'd done using other methods...

The app is aweful on anything. And when you call to cancel you're on hold for 2 hours and 43 minutes. F'n xm sucks

Yeah platform doesn't matter. The S-XM app really blows and the servers that send the audio blow.
