For all his self-deprecation, Jimmy's hand acting has never been as bad as Colin Quinn's.

The thing is Colin does that in his stand-up, and it's really funny and works on stage, but not so much in his acting.

He must have picked it up as a young man antagonizing cab drivers in Brooklyn.

The rest of the intro is really good as well. It has something in it, I won't reveal what, that's never been done before in a stand-up special intro.

As a filmmaker, I have to say, there was no fucking reason to shoot this in shot reverse shot. They should have done in mostly in a two shot, except the first shot in order to not give away the surprise.. I also love the hacky Louis CK copying low depth of field they used to make it look like film. God, most filmmakers are unoriginal HACKS. The intro is great, I just hate how the director shot this.
